Kan Chan

Ever since founding Aravia Design in 2015, Kan Chan (陳正芹) assumed the role of Design Director and led a team of specialists to complete over 30 projects worldwide. Kan is currently a chartered member of RIBA, and a HKIA associate member. He is one of very few architects in Asia that has been nominated at the WAF and won the prestigious WAFX Award (2019).

Ever since founding Aravia Design in 2015, Kan Chan (陳正芹)assumed the role of Design Director and led a team of specialists to complete over 30 projects worldwide. Kan is currently a chartered member of RIBA, and a HKIA associate member. He is one of very few architects in Asia that has been nominated at the WAF and won the prestigious WAFX Award (2019).

Apart from professional practice, Kan Chan has taught architecture design at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The City University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on architecture as an agency in the making of public realm, and his thesis in 2013 had been nominated for the RIBA President’s Medal. You may have heard of Kan Chan from fields outside of architecture as he is an active participant in public services. He is the current president of Lions Club of Braemer Hill Hong Kong and a professional advisor for CRCC.
